Navodaya Education Society and Navodaya First Grade College have established reputation as a prosperous educational institutions in Tumkur Universiy in particular and Tumkur District in general of Karnataka. The names indicate the new beginning. They indicate the renaissance of the society. The emblem of the College depicting the “Rising Sun” signifies aspirations of the people for education and the consequent prosperity. With a view to cater to the educational aspirations of the people of Chikkanayakanahalli, the management thought that education is a means of amelioration among the rural stakeholders. The College was started with a view to provide education to the rural youth at affordable cost and provide an academic ambience to facilitate fulfilment of their aspirations.

Set up in the rural locale, the College intends to equip the students of this region with knowledge and necessary skills to enable and empower them. The management, teachers and the non-teaching staff of the College are committed to provide the best possible opportunities for the students to enable them to acquire a holistic personality besides equipping them to face the global challenges in the job market.
